The Department of Electronics Engineering (VLSI Design & Technology) [EVT] was established in 2023 with an approved annual intake of 60 seats in B.Tech. The department is headed by Dr. N. Vijay Shankar (Professor, M.Tech, PhD with 19+ years of experience) and supported by 24 experienced faculty members (including Ph.D. scholars, 4 Associate Professors, and 18 Assistant Professors).

Former Rector JNTU AnantapurVLSI & Embedded Systems (VLSI & ES) is a 2-year full-time post-graduate program approved by AICTE for graduates with B.E / B.Tech in ECE / EEE / CSE / Electronics & Computers / Instrumentation / Bio-Medical or equivalent. Intake is 36 seats, selected via PGECET conducted by the Govt. of AP / GATE.
The curriculum emphasizes practical design, molding fresh electronics engineers into high-caliber embedded system designers and VLSI architects.
