Standard Operating Procedures, Digital Cashless Regulations, Examination Duties, Attendance Monitoring, Student Mentoring, and Professional Code of Conduct for RVIT Faculty Members.
All faculty members, HODs, and technical staff are mandated to strictly observe these Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to maintain academic excellence, administrative integrity, and 100% financial transparency across RV Institute of Technology.
Digital RVIT Initiative & Financial Conduct (Cashless Campus)

JNTUK & Autonomous Exam Cell GuidelinesReport to Chief Superintendent / Exam Cell 30 minutes before exam commencement. Collect hall tickets list and answer booklets.
Verify student Hall Ticket, Original College ID card, and signature on attendance sheets before distributing main answer booklets.
Maintain zero tolerance for copying, mobile phones, or unauthorized materials. Report malpractice immediately to Chief Superintendent.
Evaluate Mid-Term examination answer scripts within 5 working days and publish marks on the ERP portal for student transparency.
Student Attendance Monitoring & ERP Entry
Daily Period-wise Attendance & 75% Threshold RegulationRecord period-wise attendance on the official RVIT Academic ERP Portal before 4:00 PM on the same day without fail.
Students maintaining less than 75% attendance are ineligible for Semester End Examinations (SEE). Mentors must issue early warning notices to parents when attendance drops below 80%.
Faculty applying for Casual Leave (CL) or Duty Leave (DL) must arrange formal class adjustments with departmental colleagues and obtain prior HOD sign-off.
Class Incharges must serve as Administrators of their official student WhatsApp class groups. All circulars, notices, and instructions shared by Management, Principal, Deans, or HODs for students must be promptly forwarded without omission.
Student Mentoring & Counselor Framework (Proctor System)
1:20 Ratio Academic & Personal CounselingEach faculty mentor is assigned approximately 20 mentees. Maintain updated proctor books with academic records and contact details.
Communicate with parents bi-weekly regarding attendance progress, mid-exam performance, and general discipline.
Identify slow learners and provide remedial coaching. Encourage participation in BuildX challenges, placements, and campus activities.
Research & Development (R&D), FDPs & Publications
Scopus/SCI Publications & Professional Growth IncentivesEvery faculty member is expected to publish at least two Scopus / Web of Science indexed journal papers per academic year. Management provides financial incentives for top-tier publications.
Completion of at least one NPTEL/SWAYAM course and participation in two Faculty Development Programs (FDPs) per year is mandatory.
Campus Professional Code of Conduct & Ethics
Punctuality, Dress Code & Institutional IntegrityFaculty members must report to their allocated classrooms precisely at the stipulated session timings (e.g., 9:00 AM, 10:00 AM, 2:45 PM sharp) to ensure discipline and uninterrupted teaching.
Present in class at exact stipulated times (9:00 AM, 10:00 AM, 2:45 PM sharp).
Formal dress code with mandatory RVIT Faculty ID card display.
Use `@rvit.edu.in` domain for all official communications.
