About the Department

The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) was established in 2008. Electrical & Electronics Engineering deals with power generation, transmission, renewable solar/wind grids, electric vehicle (EV) drivetrains, control automation, and smart embedded power electronics.

The department is headed by Prof. Ch. Hari Babu with vast academic experience, ably supported by senior professors and researchers maintaining a healthy 1:15 faculty-student ratio. The department features state-of-the-art simulation labs, industrial visits, IEEE student chapters, and consistent 70%+ core & IT campus placements.

M.Tech in Power Systems

The department offers a 2-year full-time M.Tech program in Power Systems (intake of 18 seats, selected through GATE / AP PGECET). The curriculum provides a rigorous foundation in system-level modeling, power system stability, motor drive integration, smart microgrids, and renewable energy conversion. Dedicated industry project work is completed during the 3rd and 4th semesters.
