association is chartered under this name and it is the full legal name.
CHEC IEEE Student Chapter:
The IEEE student branch officially started in 2015 as CHEC IEEE Student Branch. The Institute of Electrical
and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) helps advance global prosperity by promoting the engineering process
of creating, developing, integrating, sharing, and applying knowledge about electrical and information
technologies and sciences for the benefit of humanity and the profession. The main perspective of IEEE
student branch at Chebrolu Engineering College is to make the students aware of various facilities and
student development programs provided by IEEE. Here at Chebrolu Engineering College, we encourage
the networking of undergraduate and postgraduate students with industry and academics.
2. Association for Computing Machinery:
ACM, the world’s largest educational and scientific computing society, delivers resources that advance
computing as a science and a profession. ACM provides the computing field’s premier Digital Library and
serves its members and the computing profession with leading-edge publications, conferences, and career
resources.
CHEC ACM Student Chapter:
The Chebrolu Engineering College Student Chapter of the ACM was established in 2015 to address the
needs of the Chebrolu Engineering College computing community. Goal of the chapter is to create interest
among the students for computer science apart from what they learn during the course work. The chapter
organizes talks and workshops on different subjects by speakers who are well known in their area. These
talks give students opportunities to learn about advanced research subjects. Apart from these, some nontechnical
activities are also organized.
3. Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers:
The Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE) is India's leading recognized
professional society devoted to the advancement of Science and Technology of Electronics,
Telecommunication & IT. Founded in 1953, it serves more than 60,000 members through various centers,
whose number is 65, spread all over India and abroad. The Institution provides leadership in Scientific
and Technical areas of direct importance to the national development and economy. Government of India
has recognized IETE as a Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (SIRO) and also notified as an
educational Institution of national eminence. The objectives of IETE focus on advancing electrotechnology.
CHEC IETE Student Chapter:
The IETE student chapter at Chebrolu Engineering College was established in the year 2015. The IETE
conducts and sponsors technical meetings, conferences, symposia, and exhibitions all over India,
publishes technical journals and provides continuing education as well as career advancement
opportunities to its members
4. The Indian Society for Technical Education:
The Indian Society for Technical Education is a national, professional, non-profit
making Society registered under the Societies Registration Act of 1860. First
started in 1941 as the Association of Principals of Technical Institutions (APTI),
it was converted into Indian Society for Technical Education in 1968 with a view
to enlarge its activities to advance the cause of technological education in the
country.
CHEC ISTE Student Chapter:
ISTE CHAPTER was established at Chebrolu Engineering College in 2015. The Chapter started with 20
staff members and continued till date with all the staff members as registered members. Chebrolu
Engineering College encourages the students and staff equally to become a member and take advantage
of the various benefits of the Chapter. Every year the ISTE Student chapter of Chebrolu Engineering
College conducts various events such as expert lectures, workshops, seminars, Industrial visits, etc. to
assist staff and students for updating their technical knowledge.
5. Computer Society of India:
The seed for the Computer Society of India (CSI) was first shown in the year 1965
with a handful of IT enthusiasts who were a computer user group and felt the need to
organize their activities. They also wanted to share their knowledge and exchange
ideas on what they felt was a fast emerging sector. Today the CSI takes pride in being
the largest and most professionally managed association of and for IT professionals
in India. The purposes of the Society are scientific and educational directed towards the
advancement of the theory and practice of computer science and IT.
CHEC CSI Student Chapter:
CHEC Student Branch of Computer Society of India (CHEC-CSI) started in the year 2015 with a group of
CSE students who were a computer user group and felt the need to organize their activities. They also
wanted to share their knowledge and exchange ideas on what they felt was a fast emerging sector. Today
the CHEC CSI takes pride in being the largest and most professionally managed association of and for
Student professionals in Chebrolu Engineering College. The purposes of the CHEC-CSI are scientific and
educational directed towards the advancement of the theory and practice of computer science.

American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) is a community of students, faculty and staff members of the
Department of Civil Engineering started in the year 2015. ASCE primarily aims at increasing the level of

The Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) is an independent engineering society, headquartered
in central London that represents mechanical engineers. With over 113,000 members in 140 countries,
working across various industries, the Institution is licensed by the Engineering Council,UK (EngC) to
assess candidates for inclusion on its Register of Chartered Engineers. Our Vision is to improve the world
through engineering by inspiring the next generation, developing professional engineers and setting the

CHEC IMechE Student Chapter:
The IMechE CHEC Student Chapter India was initially established in the year 2016. Currently, there are
over 150 active members based in Chebrolu Engineering College Student Chapter India supported by an
active Group committee. If you are an existing student affiliate member or have recently joined to any

laid down in the Royal Charter, sanctioned in 1935, and has contributed to the national socio-techno -
economic development policies.

ASME is a not-for-profit membership organization that enables collaboration; knowledge sharing, career
enrichment, and skills development across all engineering disciplines, toward a goal of helping the global
engineering community develop solutions to benefit lives and livelihoods. Founded in 1880 by a small
group of leading industrialists, ASME has grown through the decades to include more than 130,000
members in 151 countries. Thirty-two thousand of these members are students.

American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASCE) is a community of students, faculty and staff members
of the Department of Mechanical Engineering started in the year 2015. ASCE primarily aims at increasing
the level of interaction among the students and faculty members, through several events and programs
like conducting the Departmental Fresher’s and Farewell ceremony and dinners, managing Mechanical
Library, organizing industrial trips, movie sessions, lecture series, departmental magazines, summer
